WILLIAM SNIDER Obituary

William R. Snider of Bensenville William R. Snider, 80, passed away peacefully Oct. 31, 2011, in Bartlett. Bill was the cherished husband of the late Helen M.; loving dad of Debra (Butch) Kahne of Bartlett; dear grandpa of Kendra Kopacek of Bartlett, Michele Kahne of Midland, Texas, and Daniel Kahne of Bartlett and great-papa of Michael Kopacek; fond brother of Bob (Martha) of Hurst, Ill., and the late Fritzi of Hurst, Ill.; and brother-in-law of Ralph (Brigitte) Sandstrom of Elk Grove Village. Cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns Road), Bartlett. A memorial service will be held at a date and time to be determined at the First United Methodist Church of Bensenville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Bensenville or the Family Centered Hospice of Addison. I only knew of Bill as a kid and having spoken with him over the phone for family tree information. He knew my grandparents very well. He is second cousin to my grandfather Edward Judson Rowe. He attended my grandfather's funeral in August of 1972, the last time I saw Bill.

Mr.Snider will be sorely missed. He was a hero to me for his service in Korea. He will always be with me as is Mrs. Snider,Mr&Mrs. Custer And Mr. Ricker. Mr. Snider was one of a kind.
