WILLIAM WEWETZER Obituary

William Albert Wewetzer ("Chuz"), beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2022 at the age of 89. Adored by many, he was a talented craftsman who always put others before him, loved spending time in his garage, and above all else, with his family and serving the Lord as a member of the Apostolic Christian Church. He is survived by his daughter, Susan Wewetzer, and son, Mark (Nancy); grandsons, Kurt (Viola), Kyle and Klint (Alyssa), and great-grandsons, Colton and Clayton; brother and sister-in-law, James and Shirley Wewetzer; many other cherished relatives, including nieces, nephews and cousins, very special friends and the amazing staff at Highland Oaks. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Marjorie Ruth, his parents (Albert and Julia); one brother, three sisters, three sisters-in-law, seven brothers-in-law, three nephews and one niece. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 27th, 4:00 -7:00 PM at the Apostolic Christian Fellowship Center (2760 W. Highland Avenue, Elgin, IL) and Thursday, from 9:00 AM until the time of services at 10:00 AM in the Apostolic Christian Church (2740 W. Highland Ave., Elgin.) Burial will follow at the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, should you choose, memorials may be made to Highland Oaks (highlandoakselgin.org).
