WILLIAM WISHON Obituary

William W. Wishon Sr. of Elgin William W. Wishon Sr., 67, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at the Provena- St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. Bill was born in Elgin on July 19, 1944. He was the son of the late Clarence and Mae Wishon. Bill was a lifelong resident of Elgin. He was a printer by trade and a longtime employee of David C. Cook Publishing in Elgin. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Shirley Hartman Tinsley, they married on Nov. 4, 1983; his children, Wendy Dunn and William W. Jr. (Georgetta) Wishon; and his stepdaughters, Tina (Daniel) Burns and Tammy (Matthew) Roe. Other survivors include several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sisters, Carol Smith, Cindy Owens, Judy Gunn and Barbara Horton; his brother, Larry Wishon; and many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sisters, Marilyn Pellitir and Betty Suffka; and his brothers, George Wishon and Roger Wishon in infancy. At Bill's request, there will be no public services. There will be no visitation. A private family celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
