Graveside services for Barbara Gail Brannon Wood 71, of Sylacauga will be Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Pine Hill Memorial Park, Reverend Eddie Forbus officiating with Usrey Funeral Home, Talladega directing. Her family will receive friends Tuesday August 27th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. She passed away Friday, August 23, 2013 at Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga. Mrs. Wood was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County and had been a resident of Sylacauga for the past 30+ years. She was a member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Rena Brannon and brother, Arlin Brannon. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Robert "Bob" Wood, 2 daughters, Cathy Johnson (Larry) of Talladega, Lisa Goodson of Sylacauga, one son, Mike Goodson (Jane) of Talladega, two sisters, Margaret Sollie (Ed) of Talladega and Opal Parks (William) of Alpine, two brothers, Luther Brannon and Donald Brannon (Dolores) of Talladega, grandchildren - Corey Goodson, Hunter Goodson, Michael Goodson, Krystal Parker, Brooke McCrary, Michael Bowlin, Darrell Bowlin and Michael Johnson, eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Corey Goodson, Hunter Goodson, Michael Goodson, Dustin Brown, Drew Brown, Vic McCrary, Michael Bowlin and Darrell Bowlin.
