Carla Jo Gingles

Carla Jo Gingles, was 75 years old at the time of her death. She resided at 3167 Desoto Caverns Parkway, Childersburg, Alabama. Carla passed away on November 1, 2025 at her residence. She was born in Clinton, Iowa June 6, 1950. Graduated high school then entered the work force working in restaurant service industry for years then became a bookkeeper/office manager her last 47 years. Carla was a creative person with crafts and sewing for her family and others. Her greatest accomplishment in life was being a great hoving mom to ten children, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and foster mother over 20 years to 54 children. At one time she was employed by DHR to teach foster and adoptive parent classes, which she thoroughly enjoyed being of service. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Leonard L. Gingles of Childersburg/Sylacauga; her children, Nikci Moats (Charles Cheeks), Amy Gingles, Linda Gingles, Tracy Gingles, JoLeanne Watts (Jeremy), Beau Gingles (Stephanie Thrash), Mackenzie Gingles (Jennifer), Kaitlynn Gingles, Danica Gingles, Tyler Gingles (Kelsi Stone); grandchildren, Cassell Moats, Jakob Moats, Greg McNeal, Shelbie McNeal, Analeia Gingles, Karly Gingles, Kiley Gingles, Lauren Watts, Colby Gingles, Cameron Thrash, Kyla Gingles, Skylar Conard, Taytum Gingles; great grandchildren, Gregory Harris, Ryleigh Harris and Rosilee Harris; and her brother, John Dierksen (Tosha Massey). Carla was preceded in death by her parents, David and Mildred Dierksen; brother, David Dierksen; sisters, Linda Dierksen, Tammy Rowan; and grandchild, Wyatt Gingles Conard. There will be no visitation or memorial service as per Mrs. Gingles wishes. The family would like to express their sincerest thanks and gratitude to the Childersburg Police Department and first responders that came to the house to help Carla. God had already accepted her into heaven. In lieu of flowers the family request charitable donations in Carla's name to any charity or First Methodist Church of Childersburg, AL. where she was a member for over 40 years.
