Clara B. Etress

Clara B. Etress, age 77, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025. Clara is survived by her sisters, Orene Hammonds, Jesse Lynn Cox Ferguson; brother, Arthur Lee Cox; and a host of nieces and nephews. Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Wayne Etress; parents, Arthur and Lois Cox; sisters, Evelyn Wesson, Iva Mae Hermon Jacob, Jane Howard, Bernice Cox; brothers, Edwon Cox, Gene Cox, Jesse Cox, Alton Cox, Robert Cox, Roy Cox, Noble John Cox; and her first husband, Chester James. She was a wonderful friend, aunt and woman. She always went above and beyond for anyone. A visitation for Clara will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, 320 North Elm Avenue, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Joe Kelley officiating. Clara will be laid to rest in Fayetteville Cemetery, 5441 Old Fayetteville Rd, Sylacauga, AL 35151.
