GENE RAY COZAD

LINCOLN- Celebration service for the life of Gene Ray Cozad, 71, of Lincoln, will be Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 3 pm at the chapel of Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega. His close friend, Rev. Joe Harris will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2-3 pm at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega. Private burial service will be at a later time. Mr. Cozad passed away January 14, 2012 at the VA Hospital in Birmingham. He was a native of Illinois and was a well recognized mechanic in Central Illinois area. He has lived in Talladega County since 1993 and was a member of Lincoln United Methodist Church. Mr. Cozad is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Mildred Cozad, daughter, Kelly Marie Cozad, twin sister, Judy Colby, brothers, JR Cozad and Larry Cozad and several in-laws. His survivors include his wife, Kathy Cozad, children, Gene Ray Cozad II, Garrett Raynes Cozad, Kandis Mills, Megan Johnson, Carol Cozad, Ashley Cozad and their significant others, grandchildren, Patrick Lake, Nick Coile, Craig Cozad, Melissa Sanders, Brandon Mills, Hannah Johnson, Johnny Johnson, Jake Johnson, Addie Walker, 3 step-grandchildren, great-grandson, Talon Coile, sisters, Marilyn Scott, Donna Edwards, brother, Lynn Cozad, and numerous nieces and nephews.
