A Celebration Remembering the Life of Ms. Jasmine Nicole Embery, 33, of Talladega, will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 11 a.m. at S.M. Goodson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. There will be a public viewing for Ms. Embery on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 3-7 p.m. at S.M. Goodson Funeral Home. Professional services entrusted to S.M. Goodson Funeral Home and Crematory-Talladega. Born on February 17, 1990, in Talladega, Alabama, to parents, Stacey Embery Simmons and Joe A. Simmons, Jasmine Nicole Embery brought light and love to the lives she touched. When her mother first laid eyes on her, she knew she was blessed with an Angel. Although Jasmine didn't have a church home, she frequently visited and worshipped with family and friends at various churches with Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Fairfield, Alabama being one. Jasmine spent her childhood growing up in the Talladega and Clay County area, attending schools in both Clay County and Talladega City. With her infectious smile and kind heart, she made friends wherever she went. As a child, Jasmine possessed a natural talent for operating cash registers, which she later turned into a fulfilling career in retail. She held the position of assistant manager at Simply Fashions in Talladega, where she brightened the lives of both coworkers and customers. Known affectionately by family and friends as Jazzy Sue, J-Baby, Little Lady, J-Lo, Princess Jasmine, Jazzy Punkin, and TikTok Queen, Jasmine had a radiant personality that left a lasting impression on those who knew her. She cherished her family and friends, but her two boys, Jermih and Jayceon, whom he loved unconditionally, were the center of her universe. Jasmine's love for her children knew no bounds, and she worked tirelessly to provide them with the best life possible. Jasmine was an amazing sister to Jo'Neisha and she loved her nephew Jamir to pieces. She went above and beyond for her mother checking on her daily, when it should have been the other way around. A dedicated daughter is exactly what Jasmine was. Jasmine Nicole Embery, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, peacefully transitioned from this earthly home to her heavenly home on October 31, 2023, at the age of 33 while under the care of Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama surrounded by loved ones. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Rudolph "Bo" and Blanche Simmons, Edna Burns, and David Rogers. Jasmine's unwavering devotion extended to her entire family and will forever be cherished by her two loving sons, Jermih Phillips and Jayceon Embery; her parents, Stacey Embery Simmons and Joe Simmons, her beloved sister Jo'Neisha (Joshua) Embery; her nephew, Jamir Dupree, who held a special place in her heart; grandmother, Fannie Rogers; grandfather, James Embery; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other relatives and friends who will deeply mourn her loss. Jasmine's impact was not limited to her immediate circle; her loving and caring nature touched the lives of countless friends. She was always there to lend a listening ear, offer advice, and provide unwavering support. Jasmine's friends were an integral part of her life, and she treasured their bonds deeply. In this time of profound grief and loss, we extend our deepest condolences to all who knew and loved Jasmine. May her spirit live on in our hearts, and may she find eternal peace in the loving arms of the angels. S.M. Goodson Funeral Home and Crematory Talladega Sheffton M Goodson 256.480.3177
