Mr. Oscar Lee Kendrick

TALLADEGA - Funeral services for Oscar Lee Kendrick, 64, will be Friday, Jan. 16, at 11 a.m. at Africa Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Isaac Richardson, the Rev. Freddie Flannigan, the Rev. Bobby Welch and the Rev. Antoine Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Africa Baptist Church Cemetery, Talladega. Mr. Kendrick will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to service. Mr. Kendrick died Friday, Jan. 9, 2009 at his residence. He was educated in the Talladega County School System and was a member of Africa Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Lee Kendrick Sr.; mother, Alice Kendrick; step-father, Perry Jenkins; and step brother, Perry Jenkins Jr. Survivors are a sister, Minnie (Joseph Scott) Jenkins of Talladega. Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary will direct the services.
