Rebecca Eugene Singleton

TALLADEGA - Funeral services for Ms. Rebecca Eugene Barker Singleton, age 74, will be Thursday, Aug. 6, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Talladega Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Wewoka Assembly of God Cemetery in Talladega. Visitation will be Thursday morning from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Ms. Singleton, a Talladega resident for most of her life, passed away on Aug. 2, at Citizen's Baptist Medical Center. Ms. Singleton was of the Assemblies of God faith, and in her ministry she gave people transportation to church and helped them anyway she possibly could. She loved to be surrounded by her family and friends. Ms. Singleton is survived by five sons, John Pete Singleton, Tommy Wetuski, David Wetuski, Darryl Crump and Phillip Crump; one daughter, Lisa Williams; four brothers, Jerry Barker, Lawrence Barker, Danny Barker and Leslie Barker; five sisters, Frances Matthews, Debra Echols, Frieda Brown, Martha Martinez, and Cathy Salster; 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Singleton; and one son, Bruce Wetuski. Pallbearers will be Logan Lockridge, Phil Salster, Cason Martinez, Ken Jacks, Seth Gee, Dee Jay Wetuski. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Williams, Jeremy Wetuski, Eric Wetuski, Jake Wetuski, Joshua Wetuski, and Caleb Wetuski. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the services.
