A Celebration Remembering the Life of Mrs. Sandra Wilson Garrett, 66, of Talladega, Alabama, will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2021 at 3 p.m. at S.M.Goodson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Patrick Brown officiating. Interment will commence immediately following the services in Westview Cemetery. A public viewing for Mrs. Garrett will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 2-7 p.m. at S.M. Goodson Funeral Home. Mrs. Sandra Wilson Garrett was born on June 13, 1955, to the late George Washington Brown and the late Mary Frances Calloway Brown in Talladega, Alabama. Sandra accepted Christ at a young age and untied with Lily Hill Baptist Church. She received her formal education from Westside High School and became employed with Citizen's Baptist Medical Center for more than 17 years as a custodian. Sandra was also employed with Crown Textile and Alabama Industries for the Deaf and Blind for several years. Sandra had a passion helping others and. Along the path of Sandra's life's journey, she became the mother of four loving children, Eddie, Tracy Valerie and Cutrina. Later in life she met and fell in love with her soulmate, Mr. Larry Garrett, Sr. and on June 4, 2019, they were gracefully united in holy matrimony. Sandra, affectionately known to many as "Diane Brown" had a passion for helping others and she loved dancing and partying. She was always the life of the party and kept you laughing. Watching sports was one of her favorite hobbies with the Alabama Roll Tide being her team of choice. On the morning of October 28, 2021, Sandra's life journey ended peacefully while under the care of Talladega Health and Rehab Center. Sandra was welcomed with outstretched arms at those beautiful pearly gates by her parents, George and Mary Brown, daughter, Cutrina Brown, and grandsons, Courtney and DaQuarius. Sandra's memories will be forever cherished by her loving and devoted husband, Larry Garrett, Sr.; two sons, Eddie (Alisa) Wilson and Tracy Brown; one daughter, Valerie (Alfred) Cunningham; two step-children, Kendra Garrett and Larry Garrett, Jr.; four sisters, Georgia Woodgett, Mary Finnie, Pearl Collins and Donna Brown; eight brothers, George (Dennis) Brown, Willie (Shavonne) Brown, Sr., Larry Brown, Anthony Cleveland, Tracy (Lillian) Brown, Devilin Cameron, Patrick (NeCrystal) Brown and Terrrance (Qiana) Brown; ten grandchildren, Cordarryl (Shaundora), Darrius (Jalysia), Terrika, David, LaDarius, Keandre, Faveon (Myisha), Isaiah, Hayden and Tre'Sean; sister-in-law, Aretta Brown; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
