Mother of Michael, Sharon and Kelly (and thelate Patrick Stone) passed away peacefully with her family and close friends by her side on March 26, 2025.
Dorothy was born on May 26, 1933 in Franklin Pennsylvania.
Dorothy married her true love Joseph Stone in 1950 and they remained married until his passing in 2009 just shy of their 60th anniversary
After having four children,she and Joe went back to night school to graduate high school while Dorothy continued to study accounting.
With their children grown they began a small business, Aggressive Forge, a tool and die company which Joe founded; Dot as his bookkeeper.
The Stones resided with their 4 children in Meadville & West Springfield, Pennsylvania until heading out West after Joe's passing in 2009. Dorothy then spent the last 16 years of her amazing life in Lakeside Montana and Beverly Hills
Dorothy, "Dot" to her friends was known for her great humor, love of music, bingo, slots, gardening, socializing with her many friends and Her creative style was evident in the way she created her home,garden & she was so proud of her eclectic and welcoming home .
She is survived by her daughters Sharon and Kelly, her son Michael and son in law Bruce Singer.
Dorothy was a loving grandmother to Brian Taromina, Roan Stone, Laird Stone, Hunter Stone, Quinn Stone, and Kaylee Stone, Josh Singer, Nick Singer, Stefanie Ginberg. Dorothy also had four great grandchildren, David, Beckett, Lake, and Dutch.
A Montana celebration of life will take place this summer.

I just found out about your Mom and I am really sorry . She was my Dad´s cousin( Bob F.) "Dot" was the last of the Lawson´s and that is indeed sad. The Lawson´s are a fun bunch! My Dad told me stories about all of his cousins and I had the opportunity to know some of them. I do not recall ever meeting your Mom though. We were always invited to the reunions but did not go. Now you are " in the club" of those of us who no longer have our parents. I hope that when you remember your Mom you will remember the good things. Peace.

So sorry to hear of Dot´s passing. Ron and I both have fond memories of both she and Joe when we lived in West Springfield. They were very close friends of my parents, Cap and Marge Griffey!! I have many childhood memories of that brick house, because growing up that was my grandparents home, Jay and Lois Griffey. May she rest now in peace and hope you have many good memories to help keep her close to your hearts
