Jedediah Savage Obituary

Jedediah "Jed" Cole Savage, 44

Jedediah "Jed" Cole Savage, age 44, passed away on October 23, 2025 of a heart complication.

Jed was born on August 25, 1981, to Terry and Lorena Savage in Chanute Airforce base, Rantoul Illinois. From a young age, Jed was known for his toughness, stubbornness, energetic nature, and his big heart. Though, he was not the easiest to negotiate with due to his stubborn nature he had a unique way of proving he was right. Jed was so good at lifting others, making everyone feel like family, and showing up whenever someone needed a helping hand.

Jed was the proud father of three wonderful children - Cole, Ayva, and Ali Savage - who were the joy and light of his life. Together with their mothers and partners in raising their children, Jesse Larson and Tessa Kirkland dedicated their lives to being a loving and supportive family with one goal in mind, to love and support their kiddos.

He is survived by his parents, Terry and Lorena Savage; children, Cole, Ayva, and Ali; brother, Tory Savage (Amy) sisters, Shaundra Savage (Morgan Hanson) and Julia Cummings, grandparents Kay and Carole Denning and Gracia and Ivor Jones, his sweet dog MoMo and many other nieces, nephews, friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his Grandma and Grandpa Savage, many pet friends Duramax and Crocket, great grandparents and beloved niece and nephew.

Jed believed in God and would often pray and teach his kids to pray. He knew there was a God and that there was more to life beyond our day-to-day struggles. He served the elderly, was a friend to every person or animal that crossed his path, and lived with courage and compassion. Jed was fearless and seemed invincible. Which is why this news has been so shocking for everyone who knew and loved him. He was an example of living his life moto to "embrace the suck!" He knew life was hard and didn't waste much time complaining about it. He didn't complain much and taught his kids the same.

Jed's strength, humor, and kindness touched countless lives. He loved the outdoors, hunting, gold mining, climbing trees, working hard, and spending time with family and friends. He was tough, loyal, and full of life - the kind of person everyone was glad to know.

Until we meet again, may Jed continue to watch over us as our guardian angel. There will be Funeral services held for Jed 11am Wednesday October 29 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 1780 Talbot Rd Columbia Falls, Mt 59912 with visitation 1 hour Prior 10:00am
