Steven Rick Obituary

Steven Rick, 73

Steven Rick passed on peacefully to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 24, 2025, with family by his side. Steven was born in Bellingham, Washington to Betty Cogdal and Frances Rick on October 22, 1951. He grew up in northwest Washington, and graduated high school in Edmonds, WA. Steve made a career working for Burlington Northern Railroad, which brought him to Montana, and was proud to have 35 years dedicated to that field. He met and married Barbara Dykes, and they went on to have a family, daughter Stephanie Jean and son Nathan Martin. He made a life with his family in Stryker, MT, and eventually Columbia Falls, MT where his children attended school, and made their lives in the Flathead Valley of Montana.

Steven is preceded in death by Frances "Swede" Rick, Virginia Rick, Betty Hudon, Jerry Tavis, various beloved aunts and uncles, and many a good dog.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Rick, Son, Nathan (Quincy) Rick, his daughter, Stephanie (Tanner) Kuhl, Siblings Randy Rick, Jon (Yvonne) Rick, Scott (Kristine) Rick, and Alene (Ken) Burnham, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.

Steven was so loved by all who know him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Steve's family welcomes you to celebrate his life at noon on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Whitefish Community Center, 121 E 2nd St in Whitefish, MT
