Don Pierse Obituary

Don Pierse, 90 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away October 20, 2025, at his residence. He was born on April 3, 1935, in Anderson, Indiana. He is the son of Winburn R. Pierse and Dorothy F. (Fisher) Templin. He married Barb (Rutherford) Pierse on October 10, 1971, and she survives.

Don is survived by his sons, Scott W. (Amy) Pierse of Indianapolis, Indiana, Keith E. (Lee) Pierse of Nineveh, Indiana and Clay (Brittnee) Pierse of Castle Rock, Colorado. He is survived by his grandchildren, Kylie (Brad) Pierse Baskerville, Lucy Pierse, Gus Pierse, Hugh Pierse and Amber Wood, and a great grandson, Jaxson Baskerville.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and sister Marian Woodward.

Don served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1953-1968 and completed his service as a Captain. He later worked for Johnson County Senior Services for 10 years. Don was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Edinburgh, Indiana, and was a devout Catholic. He enjoyed spending time reading and fixing things, and was a member and actor with the Sugar Creek Players of Edinburgh.

A funeral service will be conducted by Father Chris Wadelton on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 10:00am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 4:00-6:00pm at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh, Indiana. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Edinburgh Community Education Foundation or Edinburgh Dollars for Scholars.
