Howard Taylor Obituary

Howard Taylor, 98 of Columbus, Indiana passed away October 17, 2025 at his residence. He was born July 15, 1927 in Brown County, Indiana. He was the son of Ira and Mary (Jones) Taylor. He married Maxine Taylor and she preceded him in death.

He is survived by his daughter, Mari Jane Morris of Columbus, Indiana, granddaughters, Danielle Sneed of Edinburgh, Indiana and Samantha Morris of Columbus, Indiana, and great-grandson, Dakota (Allie) Sneed of Indianapolis, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and son, Zachary Ted Taylor.

Howard was a 1945 graduate of Edinburgh High School. He served in the US Army. He was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church in Columbus, the Edinburgh American Legion, Post 233, VFW in Columbus, and Moose Lodge # 398 in Columbus. He retired from IDC Plastics in Columbus as plant manager. He helped to organize and coach Babe Ruth Baseball in Edinburgh.

Howard enjoyed horse racing, BINGO, dancing, golf, and traveling.

A graveside service will be conducted by Reverend Eli Johnson at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 24, 2025 at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
