Patsy M. Johnson, affectionately known as Pat, graced the world with her presence from January 14, 1933, until her peaceful passing on October 24, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born in New Boston, Ohio, Pat was a vibrant soul whose loving spirit touched all around her.

Pat's professional journey was marked by her dedicated service at Indianapolis Life Insurance Company, where she worked diligently and eventually retired as an Insurance Agent Coordinator. Her contributions in the field were commendable, but her greatest legacy lay beyond her career.

Pat's warmth and enthusiasm were evident in everything she pursued. A gourmet cook, she delighted in preparing and sharing elaborate meals, always setting a beautiful table as a gracious hostess. She had a passion for design, stemming from the many architectural functions she attended alongside her beloved husband, James O. Johnson. Together they designed and built their homes, including their unique "Round House" and an innovative solar house in the 70s. This partnership not only reflected their complementary personalities-his quiet nature balanced by her fiery spirit-but also their deep love for each other that flourished during their years of marriage until his passing in 1981.

A loving mother, grandmother and an outgoing woman, Pat cherished her family fiercely. She is survived by her devoted children, Jim Johnson (Laura), Perian Carey (Andy), and Gayle Kahre (Dave), who carry forward her legacy of love and warmth. Pat was immensely proud of her grandchildren: Nathan Kahre, Jacob Kahre (Amy), Melissa Kahre, David Kahre and Brandon Johnson. Each of them holds a piece of her heart as they navigate their own lives, inspired by her joyous spirit.

In her free time, Pat found solace and joy in singing in the church choir, further embodying her love for life and community. Her laughter, her love for hosting gatherings, and her culinary masterpieces will be fondly remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know her.

As we gather to celebrate Pat's life, we honor the remarkable woman who brought so much joy to our lives. A graveside service will be held at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery in Anderson, Indiana, on October 31, 2025, at 1:00 PM, where she will be laid to rest.

Pat's memory will forever resonate within the hearts of her loved ones, reminding us all to embrace life vividly, to nurture our passions, and to treasure every gathering shared with family and friends. She is now reunited with her beloved husband James and her devoted parents, Harry and Ina Risner, leaving behind a legacy filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
