Patsy McClain Obituary

Patsy Lou (Skiles) McClain, 76, of Indianapolis, IN and formerly of Greenwood, IN passed away Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Beech Grove Meadows in Beech Grove, IN. She was born January 15, 1944 in Indianapolis, IN. She was raised by her uncle, Claude and aunt Ethel Hardwick of Franklin, IN. She married James William McClain on July 11, 1964 in Franklin, IN, he survives.

Patsy was a graduate of Nineveh High School. She had been a bookkeeper for Center Grove High School for fifteen years. She was a member of Mt. Auburn United Methodist Church at Stones Crossing, Greenwood.

Survivors include her loving husband James William McClain of Indianapolis, IN; two daughters Stephanie M. Rudie (Eric) of Indianapolis, IN and Melanie S. Mitchell (Patrick Berfanger) of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren Andrew, Gregory and Zachary O'Connor, Carlisle Cashman, Heather Keating, Lauren Keating, Elie Rudie and Adam Berfanger, and her brother Raymond Skiles (Carol) of Columbus, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Due to the COVID 19 restrictions, the Reverend Keith Turner will conduct a private family celebration of life service on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at 3 p.m. where the service will be live streamed for friends at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/patsy-skiles-mcclain. Private inurnment will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN. Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN is handling the arrangements.
