Robert E. Nunan

Robert E. Nunan peacefully stepped into heaven on December 29, 2022. He was born on August 8, 1935 to Austin and Lucille (Gobel) Nunan.

He graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1952. He married Marilyn (Todd) Nunan on July 6, 1958. He served in the United States Army Reserves. He was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and the Fidelis Sunday School Class. He worked as a plumber and pipefitter where he belonged to the Local 157; and retired in 1997.

He volunteered many hours for the Fish organization, Habitat for Humanity, Family Crisis Center, Trinity Missions, Trafalgar Garden Club and Lords Locker. He and his wife worked on numerous missions trips, where they helped build churches, parsonages, and helped with disaster relief. He also was a member of the International Wood Collectors and Crafters Society.



Surviving with his wife is a daughter, Becky (Mark) Appleton of Trafalgar and sons, Matt (Wynona) Nunan of Brownsburg and Doug (Connie) Nunan of Kokomo. He enjoyed six grandchildren Bethany Joseph, Seth Nunan, Luke Appleton, Haley Berninger, Christopher Nunan, and Taylor Borth. He was also blessed with fourteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Kenneth Nunan and three sisters, Irene Roche, Doris VanHook, and Beverly Myers.

Friends may call at Mt. Auburn Methodist Church Trafalgar Campus, 375 Pleasant Street, in Trafalgar on January 6, 2022 from 4-7 pm. Friends may also call from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm on January 7, 2022 at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S Washington Street in Crawfordsville. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Seth Nunan will officiate the service and burial will follow at the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
