Stanley Arthur Lucas

1933 - 2026

Stanley Arthur Lucas, 93, passed away March 25, 2026. He was born March 3, 1933 to Lucian and Gladys (Hogue) Lucas in Middleburg, Casey County, KY. He married Frieda Brockman on June 8, 1952.

Stanley graduated from Nineveh High School in 1951 in the top 10 of his class of 10 members (his joke). He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in January 1953, retiring in 1993 after 40 years of military service. During his life, he also worked construction, Cum-mins (Columbus, IN), Eye Specialist of Indiana and the Franklin Senior Center.

He was a member of the Hurricane Community Church, Franklin. He had served at Nineveh Christian Church and Southside Christian Church in Kokomo as an Elder and Deacon.

All who knew him were blessed by his servant's heart. He enjoyed helping family and friends whenever and wherever he could. One could see him mowing a lawn, most any day, for any one, any where. He was always there when someone needed a ride, a prayer or just to have a good talk. For many years, he provided birthday and anniver-sary wishes and cards to all his family and close friends.

Stanley and Frieda enjoyed traveling, visiting every state in America,

Canada, Mexico and several locations in Europe. They journeyed with

Lightrider Ministries on many adventures and made many new friends.

Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Frieda; his daughter, Donna Lucas Rund, his sons, Kevin (Sandra) Lucas and Brian (Shana) Lucas; seven grandchildren, Jamie (Jesse) Rund, Brad (Brandi) Rund, Devin (Mike) Yokeley, Amanda (Gene) Cox, Kalin (Patrick) Roberts, Karlie Lucas, Kendra (Aaron Brown) Lucas; Eleven great-grandchildren, Alexandra (Fred III) Horrigan, Addie Rund, Wyatt Rund, Bradin Rund, Brianna Rund, Kaitlyn Yokeley, Kevin Yokeley, McKinley Roberts, Vivian Cox, James Cox and Luka Roberts; two great-great-grandsons Fred Horrigan IV and Leo Rund, with another expected in June and a brother, Bruce (Linda) Lucas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucian and Gladys Lucas; four brothers, Glancy Lucas, Floyd Lucas, Preston Lucas and Dallas Lucas; two sisters, Barbara Wil-son and Mildred Weidenhaupt and a grandson, Adam Lucas.

Services will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin with Rev. Dan McLaughlin officiating. Visitation will be from 4-6 pm, Tuesday, March 31, 2026 and from 12:00 noon to time of service Wednesday, at the funeral home. Internment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens,
