C. Hildon Winebarger

FARMINGTON – C. Hildon Winebarger, age 90, of Ste. Genevieve County, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021, at his residence surrounded by family. Hildon was born on November 24, 1930, in Avon, Missouri, to the late Claude T. and Lottie Bell (Merritt) Winebarger. In addition to his parents, Hildon was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Joyce (Leonard) Winebarger who he was united in Marriage on May 6, 1951, and they were married for nearly 65 years. He was also proceeded in death by a sister Erma Jean Maybery (Stan Mabery).

Hildon is survived by four daughters, Claudia Winebarger (James Wooldridge), Diane Reed (Patrick), Linda Douglas, and Mary Larsen (Scott), five grandchildren Erin Weiss, Sara Lorenz (Bryan), Jordan Reed, Joshua Douglas (Jessica), Jake Douglas (Kristine), Seven great-grandchildren: Samuel, Eleanor, and Henry Lorenz and Taylor and Talon Douglas, Morgan Gilsdorf, Carter Jayne Reed. As well as his sister Kay Snyder (Rev. Don Snyder) dear friends Wilma and Raymond Biri, and nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2021, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home-Taylor Chapel in Farmington. Interment will follow at Mayberry Cemetery in Avon. Masks or face coverings are required before entering the building.
