FARMINGTON – Danny "Dano" Dean Duncan of Farmington, entered into eternal rest on April 1, 2020, at the age of 44. He was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on July 27, 1975, to Norma Jean (Baker) Duncan and the late Richard Dean Duncan.
Dan was a 1993 graduate of Farmington High School. He was the current IT and Emergency Management Director for St. Francois County. He was the former Emergency Management Director for the city of Farmington, former Police Communications Supervisor for the Farmington Police Department and previously dispatched for 911. Dan was a part time firefighter for 23 years for the Farmington Fire Department. He was involved with Backstoppers and Shop With a Cop. Dan adored his family and loved spending time with them and was very active with his children's extracurricular activities. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Farmington. He enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles on the ipad, playing Call of Duty on Xbox and loved the ocean. Dan was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues fan. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Dan is survived by his mother, Norma Jean (Baker) Duncan of Omaha, Nebraska, his loving wife of 18 years, Chary (Pratte) Duncan, his children, Tyler Dean Duncan and Hayley Meleace (Christopher Brotherton) Crites, his sisters, Pamela Marie Duncan of Omaha, Nebraska, Rebecca Jane (Dan) Gorney of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Michelle Kristine (Mike) McCormick of Arnold, his mother in law, Loretta (Ronald Brewster) Nash of Leadwood, his father in law, Jerry (Darnita) Pratte of Desloge, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
A drive by procession will be held on Tuesday, April 7 from 4-6 p.m. at the main entrance of Cozean Memorial Chapel, 217 West Columbia Street, Farmington for those who wish to show their respect and love to the family. A simple gesture of a honk, a wave, or showing of a personal sign to the family would be appreciated and welcomed. Funeral services will be private, however, you may view the service beginning at 8pm on Tuesday, April 7 by visiting our website at cozeanfuneralhome.com where you can also see the tribute video and share your condolences.
