Darliss Henson Obituary
LEADWOOD - Darliss Eugene Henson, 74, of Leadwood passed away May 28, 2008 at Parkland Health Center in Farmington. He was born March 10, 1934 in Leadwood.
He was a member of the Hopewell Church of God; avid member of National Rifle Association; retired from Pea Ridge and was then employed by West County School for a total of 26 years.
Preceded in death by Parents, Asa and Mary (Mason) Henson; Grandchild, Logan Cathcart; Brother in infancy, Kenneth Henson.
Survived by Wife, Joan (Cartee) Henson of Leadwood; Two Daughters, Connie (Dennis) Bayless, Barbara (Richard) Smith; Two Sons, Donald Henson and wife Patty of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Kenneth Henson of Bismarck; 11 Grandchildren, Mickey Bayless, Gabe Bayless, Mark Smith, Craig Bayless, Rachael Henson, Matt Parks, Justin Ratcliff, Kara Bayless, Mignon Henson, Kassie Henson, Sarah Henson; Three Great-Grandchildren; Brother, Jimmy Dale Henson and wife Kazuko of O'Fallon, IL; Sister, Darlean (Mrs. Fred Elders) of Bonne Terre; Several nieces and nephews.
He will be sadly missed by his church family and many friends.
Visitation Friday, May 30, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. at C Z Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Leadwood. Services Saturday, May 31, 2008 at 11 a.m. at C Z Boyer & Son Chapel in Leadwood with Rev. Jim Wade. Interment in Leadwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make memorials to Hopewell Church of God Sign Project.
