PARK HILLS - Don Glegg, age 83, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February, 27, 2011 at his residence, with his family by his side. He was born November 16, 1927 in Hammond, Indiana.
He was a retired WalMart Store Manager; an active member and servant of the Lord at the Park Hills, Missouri First United Methodist Church, where he served in various positions. He was a 30 year member of the United Methodist Men's Group. He also served the MCII Sheltered Workshop as a member of the Board of Directors for 30 years; was a veteran of the United States Navy; and 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge Elvins Ionic #154 AF & AM. He loved his family, friends, and God, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded by his parents, Edward and Florence (Smith) Glegg; son, Thomas Glegg; brother Edward Glegg Jr; sister Ethel (Glegg) Tomsic.
His is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Doris (Buchstaber) Glegg; he is the loving father of; Belinda Nagy and husband Ed, Jeffery Glegg, Susan Delaney and husband Jim, and Diane Glegg. He was the adoring grandfather to 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation is 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Masonic Service is Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2011 at the Park Hills First United Methodist Church. Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Park Hills First United Methodist Church with Rev. Eddie Bone officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olive Cemetery in DeSoto, Mo. Memorials may be made to the Park Hills United Methodist Church or to MCII.
