Linn Edward Duncan

PEVELY, Mo. – Linn Edward Duncan, age 87, of Pevely, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, Missouri. He was born August 22, 1933, in Flat River, Missouri, the son of the late Lorene Sarah (nee Williams) and Harold Edward Duncan.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie Lou (nee Kennon) Duncan; daughters, Kelly (Tom) Sims of Ellisville, Missouri, and Kerry (Jeff) Patek of Festus; a son, Kent (Laura) Duncan of St. Louis, Missouri; brothers, Jack (Betty) Duncan of Desloge, Missouri, Don (Elly) Duncan of Lincoln, California, and Larry Duncan of Colorado; grandchildren, Kayla Patek, Adam Sims, John Sims, Donna (Joe) Friedhoff, Faith Duncan, and Nathaniel Duncan; and great-grandchildren, Kelyn Friedhoff, Joseph Friedhoff, and Audrey Friedhoff.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Patek.

He was a Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War; a retired technical writer for Lucent Technologies; member of Herculaneum United Methodist Church, VFW #3777, the Communication Workers of America, the ATT Pioneers, and the former Pevely Lion's Club. He served on the Park Board, and as an alderman for 5 years for the City of Pevely.

Graveside funeral services with full military honors in Presbyterianethodist Cemetery in Festus, officiated by Pastor Jimmy Samson of Herculaneum United Methodist Church. Memorials in Linn's memory are preferred to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or Ride on St. Louis.

Our deepest sympathy to Bonnie and the Duncan family. I enjoyed working with Linn while employed at Western Electric Company in St. Louis. Bonnie was one of my Desloge classmates. God Bless all of the family.

So sorry to read this. Lynn was one of Wayne's best friends. He was so good to me when Wayne passed away. Bonnie you and your family are in my prayers.God gained a wonderful angel.
