Melba Sexton

DESLOGE - Melba Jean Sexton of Desloge passed away Monday, March 14, 2011 at her residence at the age of 63 years, 4 months, and 29 days. She was born October 15, 1947 at Hartshorn, Missouri, the daughter of the late Donnis Allen Stark and Mildred Pauline (German) Stark Toelke. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lestel Paul Sexton I, and a brother, Dale Allen Stark.

Melba was employed as a Service Coordinator with the Saint Francois County Board for the Developmentally Disabled and also as a GED instructor at the UniTech Career Center until her retirement. In her spare time Melba enjoyed making crafts, gardening, painting, crocheting and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her including two daughters, Janet Hahn (Rob) of Bonne Terre and Melissa Hahn (Herb) of De Soto, three grandchildren, Samantha Hahn, Jared Hahn and Travis Hahn, and two brothers as well as a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Friday, March 18, 2011 from 6 until 7 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 7 p.m. Private burial  will be at Bonne Terre Cemetery at a later date.
