FARMINGTON -- Michelle "Mia" Lynne Pratte, of Farmington passed away surrounded by her loving family on October 16, 2018, at her home at the age of 39. She was born in Farmington to Kenneth Wayne Pratte and Patricia Anne (Finnegan) Pratte. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Charles Pratte, Leo Finnegan and grandmother, Ruth Jane Pratte.
Mia was a 1997 graduate of Farmington High School and went on to attend Rogers State University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she graduated in 2011 summa cum laude with a Bachelor's of Science Degree. She was Student of the Year in 2011. A very artistic person, Mia loved music, dancing, writing poetry and creating jewelry. She was a loving and kind person who was a loyal friend to many, and animals held a special place in her heart.
In addition to her parents she is survived by one brother, Michael Pratte and his wife Nikki, her grandmother, Adelaide "Del" Finnegan, an aunt, two uncles and several cousins. Also surviving are her extended Australian family on her maternal grandmother's side.
There will be a memorial gathering of friends and family on Saturday, October 27, 2018, from 1-3 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Missouri Humane Society. View the tribute video and share your condolences at cozeanfuneralhome.com.
