Ruth Naomi Basler
BONNE TERRE – Ruth Naomi Basler, 83, of Bonne Terre, passed away January 2, 2021, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center. She was born April 1, 1937, in French Village to the late Louis C. and Mildred L. (Graves) Miller. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Clifford Paul Miller.
Ruth was a member of the Ste. Anne Catholic Church. She was known for her delicious pies and beautiful quilting. She will be remembered as a kind and thoughtful person.
Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Russell V. Basler; children, Kathleen A. Morris and her husband Donald of Imperial, Mary Lou Basler of Farmington, Lucretia J. Craig and her husband Robert T. III of Blue Springs, and Kenneth R. Basler and his wife Laura of Bonne Terre; two granddaughters, Lindsay Morris, Victoria Craig and her fiancé Adam Samson; three grandsons, Nicholas Basler and his fiancé Alexis Casteel, Lucas Basler and girlfriend Sarah Mann, and Ryan Morris; great-grandchildren, Dean, Harper, Benton, Bella Rose.
Visitation will be Tuesday January 5, 2021, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ste. Anne Church in French Village with Rev. Stephen F. Bauer officiating. Due to Covid-19 restrictions there will be limited seating capacity at Ste. Anne Church on Wednesday. Interment will follow at the Ste. Anne Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Friends of the St. Louis University Liver Center through www.friendsoftheslulc.org.
