Adolf H. Kornet

Adolf H. Kornet of Coatesville Adolf H. Kornet, 93, died Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Harrison Senior Living of Coatesville. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Paul and Anna Piwonski Kornet and the husband of Frances Pendyck Kornet with whom he shared 57 years of marriage before her death in September 2008. He was a member of the St. Stanislaus Kostka, Coatesville. Adolf served in the US Army during WWII. In 1985, Adolf retired from Lukens Steel Co. After his retirement, he worked at Harrison Senior Living of Chester County for 22 years. He was a member of the Polish American Citizens Club. He enjoyed playing golf and played until he was 88. He was a great carpenter, plumber, and handyman. Adolf is survived by his son John Kornet and his wife Emily of Baltimore, MD; and his daughter Barbara Kornet and her husband Jon Sesso of Butte, MT; two grandsons: Erik Kornet and his wife Sheila Watts of Philadelphia and Steven Kornet and his wife Brittany of Coatesville and one sister, Betty Celii of South Carolina. Adolf’s Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 11:00am at St. Joseph Church, 400 Charles Street, Coatesville with visitation beginning at 10am. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Coatesville. Memorials in his honor may be made to Harrison Senior Living of Chester County Activity Department, 300 Strode Avenue, Coatesville, PA 19320.
