Alice Blanche Holly Nicholas

Alice Blanche Holly Nicholas will be remembered with love, long after her passing. Alice Nicholas of Coatesville, Pennsylvania, age 86, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones, on Sunday, September 12, 2021. Alice was born February 1, 1935, in Manhattan, New York and was raised in The Bronx. She attended Washington Irving High School in Manhattan and she prided herself in being a life-long learner, an avid reader, and well informed on current events. Alice was preceded in death by her father and mother, Daniel R. Holly Sr. and Julia Markowitz Holly, longtime residents of Malvern, PA, and twin sisters, Judith and Julia Holly of The Bronx, NY. She is survived by her brothers Daniel R. Holly Jr (Doris, deceased) of Douglaston, NY, Richard J. Holly (Louise, deceased) of East Chester, NY, and Henry Clites (Susan) of Slidell, LA, her children, Thomas W. Nicholas (Ellen) of Bowie, MD, and Annemarie Nicholas (Jim McIlhenney) of St. John’s FL, “adopted son”, Jim Scala of Glen Mills, PA, two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Elaine Elder of West Chester, PA, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be at the Mauger- Givnish Funeral Home, 24 Monument Ave, Malvern, PA 19355 on Friday October 8,th, 2021, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
