David Mast Obituary

David K. Mast, formerly of Coatesville David K. Mast, 93, of Tel Hai Retirement Community, Honey Brook, formerly of Coatesville, died Monday, April 21, 2014 at Tel Hai. Born in Caernarvon Twp., Lancaster County, he was the son of the late Christian Z. and Della (Kurtz) Mast. His wife, Miriam H. (King) Mast, died Jan. 9, 2009. David was a farmer and nutritional consultant, retiring in 2005. He was a member of Rockville Mennonite Church. Surviving are two children, David Wayne, married to Marie (Gates) Mast of Birdsboro, and Emily Grace, married to Paul Yantzi of Tavistock, Ont.; a daughter-in-law, Patricia (Kennel) Mast of Coatesville; five granddaughters; and nine great- grandchildren. Preceding him in death was a son, Steven Mast in 2011; a great-granddaughter, Evie Schmidt; and two brothers, John H. and Melvin Mast. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 25th, at Rockville Mennonite Church, 210 Cupola Road, Honey Brook, with the Reverend Leon Shirk officiating. Interment will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Elverson. Viewing will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Friday at the church.
