Dorothy Vannoy Obituary

Dorothy E. 'Dot' Vannoy of Kennett Square Dorothy E. "Dot" Vannoy, 68, of Kennett Square, died on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Bernard L. Vannoy, Sr. with whom she shared 51 years of marriage. Born in West Marlborough Township, she was the daughter of the late Parke Hilton, Sr. and Edna Mae Murphy Hilton. Dot was an area resident her whole life and graduate of the Unionville High School. She is survived, in addition to her husband, by four children, Bernard Vannoy, Jr. of Kennett Square, Parke Vannoy of West Chester, Diane Vannoy of Kennett Square and William Vannoy of Florida; four grandchildren, Andrew Vannoy, Brian South, and Samantha and Chad DiGiorgio; two siblings, Parke Hilton, Jr. of Coatesville and Mary Bird of Tennessee. She was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Wertz. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 20, from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment at the Romansville Methodist Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to the time of the service. Online condolences can be posted at www.wildefuneralhome.com.
