Dear Doris and/or Marie: This is Pete Johnston who grew up at 316 W. South St. around the corner and down the street from your home on Center St. Please accept my condolences. My wife and I will be praying for the happy repose of his soul.
I just this morning learned of Sonny's passing. I stopped in Oct. 2004 at his house on Center St. and we spent about 3 hrs. talking. He was very gracious and I learned a lot from him about present day Kennett. I had pictures taken in the 1940s from my grandmothers house on South St. showing the back of your home and Kennett High. This was before Stenning Hills was built on the Walter's farm and you can see the school. Sonny enjoyed seeing the pictures. May God rest his soul. Pete Johnston, Chambersburg, PA.
