George Rouse Obituary

George Thomas Rouse, age 88, of Paoli, Pennsylvania, left us to return to his maker and rest in peace on December 1, 2017 at his daughters home while surrounded by his loving family.
Born August, 28 1929, to George Aloysius Rouse and Frieda Krus Rouse. George grew up in Bronx, New York City along with his sister Irene at Woodycrest Avenue within sight of Yankee Stadium. Always an industrious person, one of his first and memorable jobs as a teen was working at Yankee Stadium as a refreshment barker. He loved to reminisce about the grandeur of the stadium and the skills of the Players. George studied engineering and business at Rutgers University and then served in the US Army as a logistic specialist.
After his military service, George married the sweet heart from his youth and neighborhood. Maura Patricia Healy in 1956.
George and Pat ventured away from there home town, first to toledo Ohio then to settle in Malvern, Pennsylvania. There they built a home on Harvey Lane and raised a family with 3 children.
George excelled in the business world where he became very successful doing what he loved in the field of sales. He eventually became vice president of Marketing for Cole Steel Industries in York Pa. He later started his own Sales representation company, Facilities 4 Inc., representing many companies in the office furniture industry. There he made life long friendships and developed nationally recognized growth and sales for his clients. He also ventured into Manufacturing his own line of wood furniture.
George enjoyed playing tennis and bowling with friends and clubs.
Together with his wife, George traveled the world and shared their good fortune in many ways. He loved having his friends and family to his home at Avalon NJ. George was dedicated man of faith and participated in choir at St. Monica in Berwyn. He loved to sing and celebrate life. At Christmas time, he loved to dress as Santa. He would visit homes or volunteer at Christmas events to spread good cheer as if he truly was Santa.
George was an active participant on the board at his home owners association at Weatherstone in Paoli.
George is survived by his three Children. Lisa Joanne Rouse, George Todd Rouse, and Missy Terese Watters. Five grand children, Christopher Thomas Watters, Liza Watters Fuller, Margaret Patricia Watters, George Adam Rouse and Abigail Patricia Rouse
George is certainly celebrated for his generosity, compassion, sense of humor, and love of friends and family. His memory will live on in the hearts of many.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass on Thursday December 7 at 11am at St Patrick Church, 104 Channing Avenue, Malvern Pa. 19355. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 am in church
