Gregory L. Weidman

Gregory L. Weidman, 61, of West Chester, Pa., died Thursday Jan. 16, 2014, at Chester County Hospital, West Chester.
He was the beloved husband of Catherine Hughes Weidman.
Gregg was born in Altoona, Pa., and was the son of the late Bernard Weidman and the late Mary Smithbauer Weidman.
He graduated from Conestoga High School and Clarion State University. He was a sales representative for 31 years with Partsmaster.
Gregg was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Church, West Chester.
He was a PIAA baseball umpire for many years, played rhythm guitar for Chester and the Bedfords and was a life-long fan of the Phillies and the Eagles.
In addition to his wife, Gregg is survived by his daughter, Jacqueline V. Weidman, fiancée of Jesse Oberholtzer, of West Chester; and son, Joseph G. Weidman of San Francisco, Calif.; siblings, Sister Patricia Weidman, CSA is of Frackville, Pa.; Mary Egan of Harrisburg, Pa.; Michael Weidman of Los Angeles, Calif., and Timothy Weidman of Austin, Texas. Also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass, 11 a.m. Wednesday Jan. 22, at Ss. Peter and Paul Church, 1325 Boot Road, West Chester, with a visitation beginning at 10 a.m.
Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, 410 N. Church St., West Chester, 610.696.1181, www.DellaFH.com, with a vigil prayer service beginning at 8 p.m.
