I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. We met at the Philadelphia Heroclix event that was ran for Joshua on October 1st.
My company is normally business formal attire. However on certain days, we can dress down if we donate $3 to a charity. We're not a large office but we made a small donation in Joshua's name to www.dkmsamericas.org today with our most recent dress down proceeds.
Joshua and your family are in our prayers.

I was Josh's teacher from 2003 to 2006. It was my profound privilege to know he and his family. Most people will remember Josh for his great sense of humor. There was the time during a math lesson that Josh took hold of the dice (use for adding and number identification), shook them and yelled, “Katie needs a new pair of shoes!” Then there was the time he looked up at me after meeting my 6'1” platinum blonde daughter and asked, “Mrs. Hake, Can I ask your daughter on a date?” I remember the time Josh arrived in class with a picture of him being held up by the Eagles football team. At which time he showed me the autographed football he was given. He asked me, “Why did they write all over it?” More than once, Josh would go up on the stage in the cafeteria and entertain the other students through lunch. It never occurred to anyone to stop him. No one wanted to. We all loved him so much. Josh was an expert on the fine art of the whoopee cushion and hand buzzer. Cheese doodles were a daily staple. When they were made briefly with food coloring that would change your tongue to blue, he was even more in his glory. He once tricked our technology consultant to eat the colorful Cheetos before going to an important meeting. Josh would make appointments with the guidance counselor just to sit and talk about girls. These meetings usually occurred when he was supposed to be in either reading or math class.
Many people have never seen a shooting star. I have.
I've been lucky enough to spend years with shooting stars. They enter your life, shine brighter than all else, and make your life sweeter than you ever believed possible. What you need to do to have this awesome experience is to open your eyes, your heart, and your mind. You will not regret it.
So, wake up early and search the sky for shooting stars. If you find one, hang on to it. Your life will be much richer for the time you had with it.
Thank you, Bruce, Pattie, Noah, and Katie for sharing Josh. God chose the best possible family to care for His shooting star on earth.

Don't think of him as gone away –
his journey's just begun;
life holds so many facets –
this earth is only one.
Just think of him as resting
from the sorrows and tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years
Think how he must be wishing
that we could know, today,
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of him living
in the hearts of those he touched…
for nothing loved is ever lost –
and he was loved so much.
And what a journey it will be Josh....you will be forever in our hearts....rest easy little angel and fly free...my thoughts, love and prayers are with you all

Bruce, Josh was such a funny, spirited, fiesty kid! I can still remember him in the "Get Smart" play, following Dylan around and bopping people with his "bat". What a hoot! He had a great smile and was never afraid to jump right in and get in the middle of stuff. The world is better for having known him; our loss is truly heaven's gain. I trust you'll find smiles and warm-hearted laughter in the memories to help you through the difficult days ahead. Wishing you all peace and brighter tomorrows. ~ Caryn Selagy
