Priscilla Ester Boggs Redfern

Priscilla Ester Boggs Redfern of Downingtown Priscilla Ester Boggs Redfern, 75, passed away on April 10, 2013 in the Neighborhood Hospice Facility in West Chester. She was the wife of Earl Redfern. Born in Berwyn, she was the daughter of the late Matthews Shippens and Alice Boggs. She was a graduate of the Apex School of Beauty in Philadelphia and retired from the Environmental Service Department of the Devereux Schools. She was a member of Church of Deliverance where she served in various capacities. She enjoyed many things, among them included cooking, baking, football, basketball and being involved in street ministries. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Mark E. Redfern of Downingtown, Donald E. Redfern of Coatesville and Scott L. Redfern of Glenmoore; five grandchildren; her sister, Gloria Lopp of Downingtown; devoted niece and nephew Annette and Haneef Shabazz, a host of additional nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her daughter, Lori Ann Redfern and sister, Jane Boggs Purcell. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday April 19, from the Church of Deliverance, 199 Bradford Ave., Downingtown. Relatives and friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of services on Friday, at the church. Interment will be in the Rolling Green Memorial Park West Chester.
