Richard Markward Obituary

Richard L. ‘Thin Man’ Markward, Sr. of Coatesville Richard L. “Thin Man” Markward, Sr., 58, passed away on Tuesday, July 4th, 2017 unexpectedly at Jefferson Neuroscience in Philadelphia. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Verdale (Carter) and Stewart Markward. He worked at SMS Metal Services for 30 years as a Crane Operator. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, restoring cars and spending times with his friends and family. He is survived by his four children: Justine Markward of Atglen, Heather Markward of Paradise, Richard Markward Jr. of Coatesville and Jessica Eldreth, wife of James, of Oxford; eight grandchildren; and his siblings, Ann Markward - Stringer, wife of David, of Parkesburg and James Markward of Modena. He was predeceased by his late brother, William Markward. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 22nd at 11:30 AM at Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery, 2237 Strasburg Rd., East Fallowfield, PA 19320. Arrangements by Wilde Funeral Home.
