Rosemary Byrne Obituary

Rosemary Creed Byrne, formerly of Unionville Rosemary Creed Byrne passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017 in Omaha, Nebraska. Rosemary is survived by her son, Michael B. Parker, his wife, Carrie, and grandchildren, Jaxson, Abigail, and Rosemary, of Omaha Nebraska. A surviving brother, Patrick J. Byrne, his wife Janice, and their children, Kelly and Kevin, reside in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Rosemary is preceded in death by her brother, Desmond H. Byrne, of West Virginia, and parents, Patrick F.B. Byrne and Dorothy M. Creed Byrne, of Unionville. Rosemary was born on June 15, 1941. She graduated Unionville High School in 1959, and was crowned Harvest Queen in her senior year. Rosemary studied at the University of South Carolina. She married Frank W. Parker, and spent 22 years as an Army wife traveling the world. Together they had one son, Michael. Rosemary later settled in the Washington, DC area, and worked for the Clean Fairfax Council for over 20 years. Retiring in 2009 as Executive Director, she moved to Omaha, Nebraska to be close to her son and grandchildren. Rosemary took a deep interest her family’s pursuits and always encouraged them to reach their goals. Rosemary was an avid reader, aficionada of the arts, connoisseur of international cuisine, and world traveler, visiting over 30 different countries, and all 50 US States in her lifetime. She generously gave back to the community by volunteering her time and expertise to many causes and non-profit organizations. A celebration of her life is planned at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 22 at The Browning Barn, Myrick Center of BRCA, Rt. 842, West Chester www.brandywineredclay.org. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Foodbank for the Heartland at www.foodbankheartland.org.

Great partner she was for all The Arbor Day Fairfax County initiatives, recycle events and best ever... "Movies with subtitles"!
