Miss Gold was my freshman Biology teacher at Malvern Prep in 1967-8. Petite though she was, she was a dynamo in the classroom, completely in control, not just of her subject, but of her pupils as well. She was also an incredibly interesting person outside the classroom, so it is no surprise that she led such an inspired life. My condolences to all who were touched by her.

I was a student at Malvern Prep, where Ruth Gold taught me in 1966 or 1967. Now that I'm older, I think back on how impressive it was to have a woman teach a bunch of teen aged boys and do such a great job. She was special.

Ruth was an outstanding Science teacher and wonderful friend. I have fond memories of Ruth coming to my Science methods class to share many of her wonderful science experiments and activities with my class. Her activity books are an incredible resource for teachers. She always had a good listening ear and wonderful advice. She will be missed.

A wonderful woman and neighbor. I had so much fun as a child in her Vacation Bible School class and going on field trips. I also will never forget when she let me hold a large pet snake she had. Never giving up a chance to give a biology lesson !
God bless and keep you.
