Hey Sean, I had my 49th birthday on the 2nd as you know. It made me want to vomit. You just had yours a short while ago. This is just too hard to do, being here without you. Life is cruel. We were supposed to become old people together. I miss you everyday. I love you everyday. xoxo

Hey Sean, it's me again. I just can't help myself. I just have so much to tell you and this is the only place I can talk to you since I can't drive out to see you whenever I want due to work. Weird I know. This past year so many people have told me how much we look alike and it happened again today at work. We haven't been told that since we were little so I never really thought much about it when we got older. A few people even said we could be twins! That made be feel good, made me happy. I would have been cool with that. Geez, we went to the same schools, had the same friends, liked the same sports n went to lots of games together, liked the same music, liked the same bands, shared our clothes, you went with me when I bought my first car, you were my first friend, my first enemy (haha), my first teammate, first opponent, my first and only brother. Hmmm, are we twins?!?!?! Hehehehehe!!! One thing I can thank mommy and daddy for is that they gave us each other. But we still had lots of stuff to do and it's tough being here without you. I'm so sorry this happened, that you left too soon, I'd do anything to bring you back to us. As always I will forever believe you should be here. I love you everyday. I miss you more my dear brother, xoxo.....Colleen

Hey Sean...I just had my first birthday without you. It was a tough one. I wanted that early morning happy birthday from you, my brother so badly. I miss you more and more with each passing day. I'll never understand why you are no longer here and I hope what they say is true. I hope I see you again. I have so much to tell you and I just want to give you a hug. And if there is a radio, listen to Bruce and pretend we are at concert like all the times we went when mommy and daddy got us tickets then when we got older you got them for us and Becky. Oh geez, my dear brother, you should be here. I love you always. xoxo xoxo xoxo

I recently had a conversation with Sean during a girls basketball game. We talked sports, like we usually did, and spoke of family. Sean glowed as he brought me up to date about Ryan, Brendan and Lindsey. He never once talked about himself....a true measure of a man.
We are profoundly saddened with the loss of Sean Barrett...

We are so saddened to hear of Sean's passing. He coached our son, Ryan, in baseball and basketball. Sean was always encouraging and was a great role model for him, and the the many children he coached over the years. We will always remember how proud he was of his family. Our prayers are with you during this difficult time.

So sorry for your loss...Sean was one of the kindest, friendliest and nicest persons we've known as part of our many years at KAU. He was a great coach and untiring supporter for my son Jack and all of his teammates. Our prayers go out to all of you...he will be deeply missed.

Though words, however gentle, cannot take your loss away, please know that Sean will be greatly missed. Working with Sean, I only knew him as a spectacular husband and devoted father. I will miss how Sean always spoke of his family with admiration & affection. Sending healing thoughts and prayers and comforting hugs to you all.
