For some reason, I was thinking about Shirley this evening. I was so sorry to find her obituary. I think, Shirley's mother and my grandmother were sisters. I remember visiting the family when I was young and I especially remembered Shirley. She was seven years older than I was. I remember her as a teenager being so beautiful and smiling and laughing. We reconnected in Washington DC many years later and she was as lovely as ever inside and out. Rest in Peace Shirley and condolences to her family.

Sincerely,
Mary Margaret Bolents

Shirley and John were wonderful neighbors to have in Glenmoore. We had such great times at all of the corn soup picnics. Shirley shared some of her "sundrop" four o'clocks with me, and I had them in my garden for over 30 years.
Shirley was always smiling whenever I saw her.
So sorry John and family for your tremendous loss.

Most Sincerely,
Joanne & Rick Leamy

John,

Shirley was as sweet as our Dear Sweet Lord makes them. No matter where you or your family go in this world or the next, I will treasure the memories of our decades spent in our precious community of Glenmoore. I looked so forward to the coffee/tea and quite often Pepperidge Farm treats while I assisted you in preparing your home for sale. Our friendships seemed to burst into full blossom as we talked from our hearts. Those moments, smiles, and laughter are proof positive of how our Dear Sweet Lord loves us.
I feel so fortunate that you requested my services. The time together provided the stair case to the decades old casual friendship to ascend to the next level.
I am so fortunate to have been born at similar times that allowed us to share those decades in such a great, loving, community.
Shirley will be sadly missed by anyone who was in her life. One of the kindest women I have ever known. I am divinely comforted in knowing she is in the comforting arms of Our Dear Sweet Lord.

Your Glenmoore friends,

Laura and Gary Terry
