Amanda Lea “Mandy” Dunlap, age 45, resident of Oakland, Tennessee, departed this life peacefully on Sunday evening, October 19, 2025 in Somerville, Tennessee.
Mandy was born July 6, 1980 in Somerville, Tennessee, the daughter of William Edward Wilkerson and Lea Anne Wilkerson. She graduated from Gateway Christian School in 1997 and was a homemaker throughout her life. She married the love of her life, Shawn Dunlap, on October 21, 2000, whom she shared many laughs and sweet memories.
Mandy loved her family unconditionally. She was a devoted and loving wife and daughter, always putting others before herself. She will be remembered for her selfless character and giving nature. She adored all animals, especially her yorkies, and was a best friend to her son. Favorite past time memories were of family vacations to the beach.
Mandy is survived by her husband Shawn Dunlap of Oakland, TN; one son, William “Will” Dunlap of Oakland, TN; Bonus son, Nathan Laine “Nate” Wilkerson of Oakland, TN; her parents, Lea Anne Wilkerson of Oakland, TN and William Edward Wilkerson of Mason, TN; two brothers, William Bradley “Brad” Wilkerson (Andrea) of Williston, TN and Patrick Steven Wilkerson (Jennifer Austin) of Oakland, TN; great grandparents, Richard and Ava Pattat of Somerville, TN and uncle, Johnny Pattat of Somerville, TN.
Mandy is preceded in death by her sister, Judith Leanna Wilkerson and her beloved Yorkie pets—Savannah, Teddy, Amy, Tootsie, and Maxie.
A visitation for Mandy will be Friday afternoon, October 24, 2025, from 1 to 2 at the Hickory Withe Baptist Church in Eads. Funeral Services will be at 2 Friday afternoon at the Hickory Withe Baptist Church with Brother Dave Biter officiating. Interment will follow at the Fayette County Memorial Park at Oakland, Tennessee.
The family requests memorials be sent to the Carl Perkins Center or the Fayette County Animal Rescue.
