Barbara (Holland) McKoy Obituary
Barbara accepted Christ in 1966 at the age of twelve at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained a lifelong and faithful member. Her devotion to ministry was evident in every aspect of her life. She was ordained as an Evangelist under the leadership of Pastor LaDaryl Odom, serving faithfully and selflessly.
Barbara retired from Carrier Air Conditioning in Collierville, Tennessee, after 42 years of exemplary service. Beyond her professional life, her heart found its greatest joy in singing and praying, and she served as a devoted member of the St. Mark Choir for many years.
She peacefully entered eternal rest as God called her home on Saturday, November 29, 2025, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of dedication, compassion, and grace. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sol Holland and Florida Mae Holland, and her sister, Mary Ann Johnson, who welcomed her into the arms of the Heavenly Father. Barbara's unwavering faith, warm spirit, and love for others will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
She leaves a lifetime of cherished memories to her loved ones: her daughter, Kamica Taylor (Charles); her son, Marcus Hill (Maryam); three grandchildren, Cole Robinson, Connor Robinson, and Marcus Hill Jr.; and one great-granddaughter Naylani Maree Robinson; her brothers, Sol Holland Jr. (Jackie), Willie James Holland (late Misako), Steve Johnson (Kostco)and David Holland; her sisters, Etta Mae Booker (late Fredrick), Rosie Dillard (Ceaser), Dora Washington Gleeton (late Christopher), Michelle Johnson and Allison Catron (Brandon); and a loving host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation Friday, December 5, 2025 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at H.C. Jett-H.C. Ford Funeral Home, 203 Washington Street, Collierville, TN 38017. Funeral service Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mark M.B. Church, 363 Sycamore Rd., Collierville, TN 38017. Interment at St. Mark M.B. Church Cemetery, 360 Keough Rd. in Collierville. Pastor LaDaryl Odum officiating.
