Grace Williams Obituary

With profound sadness yet great joy, we announce the passing of Grace "Jeanette" Williams, who went to her heavenly home on March 12, 2025. She passed away at St Francis Hospital in Bartlett, Tennessee after a short illness. Jeanette was born on January 26, 1933 in Batesville, Mississippi, to Nathan and Corinne Tatum. She grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, graduating from Southside High School. She dedicated her life to being a devoted wife and mother then later joined the workforce at St Francis Hospital in Human Resources where she worked until retirement. Jeanette is pre-deceased by her husband, Ed Williams, together in marriage since 1953. She is survived by her son, Edward Williams (Teresa), daughter Sandra Thomas(late Tim Thomas), grandchildren Zach Thomas (Samantha) and Katie Thomas, and great-granddaughter Evi Thomas. Family was her greatest joy, and she was renowned for her generosity, love and kindness. Her radiant smile could light up any room and she was cherished by her late husband and family. A faithful, Christian, Jeanette lived with the promise of a better life in heaven. She will forever be in our hearts and remembered by her love and sweet spirit. Visitation: Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 1-2pm at Forest Hill East on Whitten Road. Funeral Service: 2pm followed by burial.
