John Rauscher Obituary

John Michael Rauscher, age 46, of Memphis Tennessee, passed away surrounded by family on August 31, 2021.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Natalie, daughters Maryn (17) and Hayes (14), sister Lauren (Kerrie Kauer), aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and a legion of friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Melinda Rauscher, his father, Mike Rauscher, and grandparents, Jean and Mike Michael and Eleanor and Charlie Rauscher, who we know were waiting with open arms to welcome him home.

John graduated from Christian Brothers High School (1993) and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Mississippi (1998) where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.

Everyone who met John loved him – everyone, without exception. He had a natural likeability factor that was immeasurable. And he made everyone feel like they were his favorite person in the world, his best friend, his brother.

Similarly, everyone who came into contact with John would be smiling and laughing within seconds. His laughter was absolutely infectious, and he will be remembered by all for his smile and that trademark laugh.

Professionally, John had an enormously successful career in sales for 23 years. He was deeply respected and trusted by all – this was part of John's magnetism and what made him an unmatched salesman.

John loved his Rebels football, music of all kinds – but especially Widespread Panic – "purple time" sunrises and sunsets, being in the woods, his friends – but most of all his family.

We will carry his memory like a blessing and keep laughing, teasing each other, and loving each other so good – just as he would have done.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, September 2, at the Memphis Botanic Garden with visitation beginning at 3:30 p.m. and the service beginning at 5:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a college fund for Maryn and Hayes using this link https://bit.ly/JMRauscher.
