Marcia Buster Obituary

Marcia Jean (Meuer) Buster was born to Albert W. Meuer and Regina Meuer of Glenview, IL.

She married Eugene P. Buster in April 1955. They made their home in Wilmette, IL where seven children were added to the family.

Her youngest child, John Albert, died of acute leukemia at the age of nearly 7. Shortly after this tragedy, the family moved to Belleville, IL for one year before moving to Germantown, TN in 1972.

Marcia became an active parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church where she was a member of the Women's Guild and the choir. She also served as a cantor and a Eucharistic minister.

Marcia loved to sing and was a member of the Memphis Symphony Chorus. She also was an avid gardener. Her children fondly remember her lovely gardens in Wilmette and in Germantown. She was also a talented seamstress and contributed to the wardrobes of her children and several of her grandchildren.

For many years she was a manager at Goldsmith's until her retirement.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Regina Meuer, by her husband Eugene Buster, and by her sisters Joan Memoli and Natalie Gallas. She also was predeceased by her children John Albert Buster, Catherine Ellen (Buster) Ward, and Robert Edward Buster, and by grandson Albert Ward.

She is survived by her sisters Gail Remien and Priscilla Jablon, and by her children Patty Lindholm, Julie Hall, Maureen Meeks and William Buster.

She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
