Margaret Elaine Gardner

Margaret Elaine Gardner, 49, of Germantown, Tennessee, passed away peacefully in her home on October 19th, 2025 surrounded by her family and love. A devoted nurse, compassionate caregiver, and beloved daughter, sister, and aunt, Elaine touched countless lives with her gentle spirit and generous heart.

Born on December 19, 1976 in Birmingham, AL and raised in here in Germantown, Elaine graduated from the University of Memphis with degrees in nursing and exercise science. She dedicated her career to caring for others, serving as a registered nurse where her intelligence, skill, and genuine compassion made her a gift to her patients and colleagues alike. Even in retirement, her nurturing spirit never rested.

Elaine's faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life. She lived her beliefs through kindness, service, and an unwavering love for all of God's creatures. Her passion for animals reflected the tenderness of her heart, and she was never without a furry companion by her side.

She found joy in the simple pleasures of life-an evening at the local theater, precious time with her niece and nephews, and quiet moments with those she loved. To them she was more than an aunt; she was a constant source of love, laughter, and encouragement.

Elaine is survived by her loving companion, Marc Lazar; her father, Buck Gardner; her brothers, Patrick Gardner (Anna) and Brad Gardner (Amy); and her cherished niece and nephews, Sadie, Ben and PJ Gardner. She also leaves behind a community forever changed by her kindness and grace. She was proceeded in death by her mother Marlene Gardner.

Elaine's light will continue to shine through the lives she touched, the hearts she healed, and the love she shared so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
