Marjorie Stark Obituary
Marjorie Elaine Stark, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, February 04, 2025. She was born on December 31,1933 in Ripley, Mississippi to the late Will and Pearl Bryant.
Elaine was known for her sweet and kind nature, which endured her to everyone who knew her. She found joy in her vegetable and flower gardening, particularly her beloved roses. Her patio was a sanctuary where she found peace among the fountain and flowers. She was a woman of deep Christian faith who found joy in reading her Bible and cherished the fellowship of her church family, especially her beloved Sunday school class. Her family and friends were at the heart of everything she did, and she had a special way of making everyone feel like they belonged. Elaine was a devoted mother to her children and found immense joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Whether dancing in the family room with them, reading stories while rocking or cooking together, she treasured every moment. She was blessed with ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and fourteen step great- grandchildren who brought her endless happiness. She also had a passion for cooking and baking; her chess cake was a favorite among family and friends. Music brought Elaine great joy as well, whether it was a gospel or country tune she could often be found dancing or singing along with her grandchildren. Her home was always open to friends and neighbors, whom she loved dearly. Her welcoming spirit made everyone feel at ease in her presence. Elaine's kindness and sweetness were unmatched. She had a signature response whenever someone told her they loved her more: "No way, Jose." It was just one of the many ways she expressed love while leaving those around her with smiles on their faces. She and her sister Betty shared a bond that surpassed siblinghood, remaining best friends throughout their lives until the very end. She had a deep love for her dogs, Tiger, Frosty and Mixie, who greeted her at the gates of Heaven. In her final days she found comfort in the quiet companionship of her cat Smokey, by her side. Though she will be dearly missed by all who knew her, the love she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched. May her memory bring comfort to all who loved her.
Elaine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold, with whom she shared seventy-one wonderful years of marriage on earth now reunited together in Heaven.
Elaine leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Kathy (Johnny) Bacon of Union City, Tennessee and Debbie Fahy, of Southaven, Mississippi; son, Michael Stark of Southaven, Mississippi; sister, Betty (Bud) Freeman of Southaven, Mississippi; grandchildren, Brad (Jana) Keightley, Kim (Phil) Black, Jason (Lauren) Sidle, Heather McCracken, Alexa (Brian) Howell, Autumn Stark, Alyssa Stark, Kelly (Jason) Kizer,
