Melba passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025 at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House in Collierville, TN surrounded by loved ones.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three brothers, Bobby Higgins (Carol), John Higgins, and Michael Higgins; five sisters, Rachel Fifer, Caroline Owens, Betty Higgins, Louella James (Frank), and Sharon Humphreys; and a host other relatives and friends.
Visitation Monday, December 1, 2025 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at H.C. Jett-H.C. Ford Funeral Home, 203 Washington Street, Collierville, TN 38017. Funeral service Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke Church of God in Christ, 7491 Hacks Cross Road, Olive Branch, MS 38654. Interment at Memorial Park Southwoods Cemetery, 5485 Hacks Cross Road, Memphis, TN 38125. Pastor Earl Shannon officiating.
